February was a challenging month, filled with unexpected hurdles and long days. Taking some much-needed rest and relaxation for my birthday helped me recharge and get ready for what lies ahead. Now, with renewed energy, we are officially set up to accept donations and prepare for the busy kitten season. Many people have asked how they can help, so this post will guide you through the ways you can support our efforts and join us in welcoming the new arrivals. - Gretchen Hess (founder)

Why Kitten Season Matters

Kitten season is the time of year when shelters and rescue groups see a surge in the number of newborn kittens needing care. It usually starts in early spring and lasts through summer. During this period, the demand for supplies, foster homes, and medical care increases dramatically. Without community support, many kittens face risks such as illness, malnutrition, or worse.

We will TNR kittens and their moms from unsafe environments and transport them to the appropriate shelters and rescues. If you are caring for a pregnant momma cat and need food and resources we can help by providing food and spay vouchers.

How You Can Donate and Make a Difference

We have made it easy to contribute in several ways. Every donation, big or small, helps us prepare for the influx of kittens and ensures they receive the care they deserve.

  • Monetary Donations

Financial gifts allow us to purchase essential supplies and cover gas for transporting cats, and help cover veterinary bills, You can donate through our secure online platform or send checks by mail. We provide receipts for tax purposes.

  • Food donations

We need Cat food / kibble / opened or not opened. Cat treats, catnip, sardines for trapping cats.

  • Volunteering

Volunteers assist with trapping cats/ transporting and feeding ferals. We need help building shelters as well. If you have time and a love for animals, volunteering can be a rewarding experience.

Why Your Support Is Vital Now

Kitten season can be overwhelming without community involvement. The number of kittens needing care often exceeds the resources of shelters and rescues. By donating or volunteering, you help bridge this gap.

Your support means:

  • Kittens receive timely medical attention

  • Kittens and Momma cats get the food and nutrition they need when born outside until kittens are weaned from their mom.
